With hunting, as with our everyday lives, we sometimes meet people who, because of their career, their knowledge and their charisma become personalities, apart from the norm and engaging, with whom we desire to spend time to learn and to share things often far beyond their field of competence because their personality is more generally a hymn to intelligence in its noblest form: the art of understanding… and in this particular case, above all, the art of passing on.
This meeting takes place with the person of a master gunsmith, René Juyon, 82 years old and the only French gunsmith to have been the finest craftsmen in France three times in three different disciplines (finisher in 1994, parts fabricator in 1997 and stockmaker in 2004), and with one of his followers, Thierry Laloubère, 47 years old whom René took under his wing and guided him to become finest craftsman in France also in 2011 in the stockmaker category.
