In the Bay of the Seine, the waterfowl hunting season began a few weeks ago. The 200 hides between the Tancarville bridge and the mouth of the Seine are occupied every night. These fine days of early September are the sign that the duck season is going to create excitement. Charles-Henri Bachelier will be our guide as we explore this special form of shooting that attracts more than 2000 hunters to the Bay of the Seine every year. Along with him, we shall experience the first days of the migration. Charles-Henri shares his hide with Edouard Reveilhac, a Norman born and bred who has hide shooting in his blood. The two of them form an inseparable duo through good and bad times, because returning with an empty bag is common with this type of shooting.
We also take the opportunity to discover this area whose wealth of biodiversity is a European reference. With Claude we hunt for snipe in the vast grasslands of the bay, a unique biotope.
Charles-Henri introduces us to his fellow hunters in the Bay of the Seine. Maxime shows us the ducks that he rears and breeds at home, especially for hunting.
