In 2016, more than 60 hunts are maintaining the tradition of rabbit hunting.
The “way” of the rabbit is particularly sharp and subtle and requires hounds with a fine nose to approach and start the game in all weathers.
The common denominator to all rabbit hunts is a sense of good humor and perseverance. No horses, no vast shoots to be rented, no large budgets: most importantly, you need a sturdy pair of pants, a stout coat and a good pair of boots to take part.
Along with Charles-Antoine Pignot from the Rataillou Hunt and Thomas Guillier from the Bonne Humeur Hunt, this documentary takes us into the very heart of the hunts, of rabbiting, to discover the life of the kennels, the family and to experience the excitement of this excellent form of hunting.
